This is one of the coolest sites on the web!
Keep it going. I'll submit as I can.
LOVE IT!!

Star Frontiers was one of those games that I always wanted to play back in the day, but somehow never got to it. So thanks for this opportunity to see what it was all about. After downloading the rules, I just had to scavenge the original books from eBay, and now I'm in the process of collecting suitable miniatures for the game. What can I say, I haven't been this interested in a game since - well, I can't even remember when. Great stuff, and perhaps I can contribute someday as well.

Been playing d20 Modern and d20 Cthulhu for the last couple years...Star Frontiers campaign about to start up again next Monday for the first time in a few years. Nice to have the books, and the great ideas from the Frontiersman, which I have been reading whenever I get a chance to pop in the thumb drive (at work...don't tell anyone...)

Thanks,
I'll keep ya posted on the campaign

I just started a brand new Star Frontiers campaign with my nephews my first in over twenty years and I still love it. In my opinion 'SF' is the best space RPG ever designed. Your web magazine is awesome and I wish you well for the future as I intend to use alot of your material in my new 'Space Ark' campaign soon. :)

Silly me, not to sign the guest book since I'm here so much. What can I say about this site and the Revival that hasn't been said by others. Since I stumbled onto this site, so many doors have opened for me. I have found a home here, with a group of wonderful people who I consider more than just screen names (I consider you all to be friends). Because of this site I've finally found an avenue for sharing something I am passionate about (my love of gaming and the creation of game rules). I am extremely grateful to now have an outlet to share my ideas (no matter how outlandish they might be), and to have people who not only are willing to read my mutterings, but actually find the time to discuss my ideas and help me build on them. So thank you for all that you have done, and long live the Revival!

Thank you!!!
I went through my >boxes< of modules. Sorting everything. After reading the rules for Alpha Dawn and later Knight Hawks I read the modules. Exciting adventures! I then went online to see if I could find more. Eventually found your site. I'm surprised to find such wealth for FREE!
I noticed you requested text for Dark Side of the Moon. I have the module. Finished reading it yesterday. I couldn't find Tristkar on the star maps. (Nor could I find Sundown from another module but it regards a newly discovered system.) Do you still need someone to type the module for you? If so, I need to know the format you prefer. As .pdf .doc (XP 97 .doc for example) I don't have WORD for Windows but I have OpenOffice.org. As I said before, I like FREE.

You know I played Star Frontiers years ago & it was, along with Champions, one of my favorite RPGs & seeing it now, like this makes me happy. In fact, I am planning to start up a champaign with my players soon....

Great site! Glad I stumbled on it. It is a wonderful resource for those of us out there in the ether that still love this game. Keep up the great work!

Cheers!, I haven't played this for YEARS, no my kids can too.

That was suppose to read "some new adventures among distant stars"!

Sorry, I was just so caught up in the nostalgia ;)

I have to admit I shed a tear of joy when I stumbled across your web site. I started playing SF when it was first released.

As I explored the fine work you have done, it brought back a flood of memories.

I still have all my old books and you have inspired me to read through them again (oh and all the ones you have created :) and maybe … just maybe … I might be able to get the old group back together for another adventure in distant starts.

Thank you for all your work and enthusiasm. I will check back regularly!

Well, what can I say. Good stuff fro free and quite timely. I am just in the process of reviving Traveller, I first ran it in 1977, with my gaming group. I was looking for inspiration etc., while populating a new sector for the campaign. Luck brought me here, keep up the good work.

Awsome! I haven't touched SF for years, and this is just cool.

Awesome work that you've done here. I hope that you're able to continue to bring Star Frontiers back out into the science fiction role-playing world. I had a load of fun with it in my early teens and the adventures that my friends and I had were some of the most memorable in our LONG role-playing careers. Bravo!

To James Outlaw: The game you are referring to is actually Gamma World, not Star Frontiers. However, there is a supplement based on Gamma World, called Gamma Dawn, in the Digitally Remastered section. Perhaps you already saw it, and that's why you thought this was the game you are referring to. Of course, since you saw this back in February, you may have already realized this by now.

Star Frontiers is about aliens in a far off frontier. It is a game of space exploration and adventure. Earth is nowhere to be seen in the Frontier.

Howdy! I personally game a sort-of "hard SF'd" Warhammer 40,000-based miniatures universe, but thanks to your production efforts have loads of plothooks, scenario ideas, and props to bring into the fold. This mag is simply some of the best stuff I've read in a while. The covers are outstanding, the fiction is solid, and the fact it is free is simply mindboggling. I really miss the inspired -80's RPG classics as it seems these days, so much stuff, while useful, is limited in scope. Appealing to a classic direction means these modules and references of this series can be ported to any universe with little work for hardworking GM's and referees. You guys need to advertise on The Miniatures Page or other sites and let people know what you are doing. At the very least, I'd say you'd get all sorts of offers for further monetary backing, if needed. Thanks for doing all this work.

Every few years or so I will search the internet for anyone who has interest in Star Frontiers and this time I hit a treasure trove of sites with lots of good information. I have always considered myself a Star Frontiersman, but never saw it in print before... this just proves George Carlin's theory, "There is TRULY a magazine for everything!!! ...and everyone." I have started reading your magazine from issue number 1 and will continue to read all the way to the last article. You have made my offseason. Thanks.

I read your interview. Mentioned something about not as many comments on this site. Well didnt want you to get lonely. hehe I still play several times a month and have introduced about ten new players to Star Frontiers. Keep up the good work! It is all much appreciated. Owe much fun and adventure to your efforts.....

Back in the day (before the internet) somebody in school told me all about this game that involved sc-fi mutants on a future earth and how hard it was just to get the pieces to build an energy gun. Even if there were human characters, I wanted to play a mutant. The only box set I could find at the time was Knight Hawks and I was still hooked! Unfortunately, back then it was harder to track down the rpg itself and this is the first time I've actually had a chance to read it...how exciting! Thanks for putting it together.

I am thrilled with what I see here. I have loved Star Frontiers since I played it back when it was still new. I still mine it for ideas and still pull it out and run games from time to time. I have my original boxed sets and all the counters, and for a while I had a disk with scans of all the Dragon Magazine articles (which I sadly no longer have).

To find not only the old game, but new material for it, is a wonderful thing. I have only begun to read your site, but I am sure I will devour it.

Thank you!

Lucky #13. This is such an enjoyable addition to the SF universe. I am really enjoying all of the articles. I have to say, they look really good printed in color. Thanks again for all the hard work.

Got here by word of mouth - well, e-mail, actually - rather than surfing. Which seems awfully retro. But I spent many happy years playing SF back when and wrote some of my own material. Though I have not picked up an SF book for the last year or so, I was overjoyed to in your site living, breathing admiration for this game and setting. Kudos. I look forward to many hours of reading your work and those of your contributors, and hopefully rather more hours putting it to use in upcoming games.

A truly amazing site and magazine. Your re-imagined releases of Star Frontiers are of professional caliber. Amazing work all around! Thank you!

I used to play Starfrontiers when I was a teen. I wanted to introduce my kids to it and was disappointed that Starfrontiers was out of print. Thank you for this project. Because of your efforts and those of the community my kids can enjoy this wonderful game.

Wow, I totally forgot about Star Frontiersman. I'm glad to see its still being updated. I'm hoping to start a Star Frontiers campaign again and it's nice to have some inspiration:)

Issue 12 WOW! Galaxy Rangers, that brings back memories. Even though it's not Star Frontiers it was a very good read. Great job!

I have finished reading issue #12. Nice job putting things together. I was wondering if more content was needed though due to the lists being in the issue. They will be handy though. The story was fun. I hope to be reading issue #50 some day.

Glad to see all of this! I've been on a nostalgia kick for a long time-- old school games, it seems. SF was a favorite a long time ago, and I am very happy to see all of these here. I've just finished downloading them all, and I look forward to reading them.

Here's hoping I can draft my wife & sons into the Frontier soon!

Oh my goodness! My cousin pointed out your site to me and I must say, I am very impressed! Thank you so much for reviving one of the all time best RPGs ever made. It was the second RPG I ever played, and now, one of the latest as well!

Thank You Sir!!

You have done a wonderful thing for the role-playing community. You have revitalized and reinvigorated one of the classic games, and given all of us old-timers an answer to "what ever happened to that sci-fi game that TSR had back in the day?"

Now, thanks to you and the community of players you have mobilized, we can now say "That game is Star Frontiers, and it's alive and well. In fact, it's even better than you remember it... wanna play?"

Your Nerd-Fu is mighty among geeks and men.

This is a very interesting site and I find it very enjoyable. I think that most of the high tech add-ons change the nature of the game quite a bit, but the vary nature of RPG’s means that not everyone’s tastes are the same. I played Star Frontiers since it first came out but I have not played much in the last few years. Your concepts and art work are totally mind blowing. I hope that you prosper in these tough times.

Hello. Awesomeness to the 82nd degree. Star Frontiers was my first RPG I loved it then and when my wife pointed out this site. The drumrolls started. I have looked a several pdf and such here. You guys have done excellent. I bookmarked your home page. Looking through I see things I thought needed tweeking in my game where I still use the original Knight Hawks and Apha Dawn. Trueth be told I never could really settle into the mechanics of Zebulon's But it is a great resource material. Now with it all here and the full list of charts on pdf. I think I may have died and gone to.. What is that your asking James? I did? Wow this is better then I thought? Where's to harp music?

Wow- I've been void jumping around this site for awhile now and realized I hadn't signed the guestbook. Thank for being the apostle of the revival! What a fun game: loved it back in the day and rediscovered that love again now. I cant wait to introduce my kids to it!

This is exactly what Tolkien intended for his works with his "other hands and other minds" comment- that fans would carry the works of imagination forward. Its wonderful to see other hands and other minds lifting the 'everflame' high to drive this world of imagination forward. Surely Gygax and others would smile.

Hey, you just sitting there, help throw another log on the fire this site represents: create something new and submit it! This is a grand revival.

Thank-you for keeping SF alive, I have fond memories of this game. Huzah!

Thanks for keeping the Star Frontiers game alive and well! The E-Zines are great and as other players who love this game, this site has revived the game. Good work!

I have been checking this site out for a few months now. I love the ezine. The contents have really rekindled my love for Star Frontiers. I use to play back in Jr High. This has brought me back to a good time in my life. Thanks. Keep up the good work and Hopefully I can contribute something myself.

This is an excellent site. I used to play SF back in the old days, and couldn't be happier with the content of the different editions of the magazine. I really don't have much of an interest in RPG's beyond this game, and am glad I can play again with a "facelift" of sorts! Thanks!

An awesome website. I came here by way of Wikipedia. I was wondering if anyone had decided to make available via the Internet any materials related to this old favorite of mine. I was pleasantly surprised to find that someone had and also had improved on the source materials as well! Great job.

What a wonderful surprise to find this old favorite enjoying a revival here! My friends and I played SF back in the 80's and it was always good fun.

Hi. I just found this site today, so haven't checked out the magazine yet, but I'll be doing so soon. Thanks for doing this. Star Frontiers was a true classic, one of my favorite childhood games. It truly died before its time.

Excellent. I'd downloaded once upon a time the Star Frontiers digital version, but I didn't know about the ezine. Excellent read after printing and sitting on the toilet. Good stuff.

OMG! I've played more SF than any other game over the years, along side D&D. Thanks for breathing new life into a great, yet very simple game. I'm simply amazed at the quality of the e-zine and the effort everyone has put into it.

THANKS!!

ERIC THE RED,YAZIAN

I played more SF than D&D back in high school. I'm glad someone's keeping the dream alive!

Thanks for brightening my day,
Glob the Dralasite

Uau! Star frontiers again. I had the original game 20 years ago and I lost it in a Interrail trip.
Back to the stars. Thanks!

I was very happy to find your site. I was in the middle of gearing up my old copy of Star Frontiers to run with the Savage World rules. Your site has given me a wealth of information to help fuel my ageing imagination. If I can get the time to put then together I have some odd's & ends that may be worth submitting.
Thanks again!

Well, I am glad to see that your new Sci-Fi RPG is getting its own home. As I mentioned before: I will support the game 100%. Feel free to add my two SF projects to the new game. Looking forward to submitting new stuff for it!!

Excellent work here. I love the remastered versions of the classic books, and the Star Frontiersman is better done than it has any right to be for a free publication. It would be really cool to see the community here start pumping out original sourcebooks for the game to keep it going.

I've been looking for a decent Star Frontiers site for a while so I can start an alternate game for my OD&D group. I ran Star Frontiers many years ago and a lot of my materials gone walkies, so this site is just what the doctor ordered. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for all the resources you've invested into Star Frontiers! I, too, loved the game and setting, but lost interest waiting for Zeb2 and Zeb3. This site makes everything easily accessible and reflects and TON of work. Thanks, guy!
